McKinley Packaging, a Corrugated Manufacturer located in Covington, GA is currently seeking Shipping Technicians & Forklift Operators with experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Operation and maintain unitizer machine.
• Pull units off of conveyor line.
• Load and unload trucks with the lift truck.
• Understand and operate the computer system to scan in and bill out. (if applicable)
• Properly scan load tags into computer system.(if applicable)
• Responsible for keeping work area clean.
• Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Assists other employees as necessary.
• Comply with the safety guidelines and safety rules provided by the company as well as exercise common sense and good judgment in performance of duties.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Commitment to work safely & maintain product quality.
• 3 years+ of experience operating a forklift is preferred.
• Available to work overtime and weekends as needed.
• Candidates must be familiar with customer order specs that includes shipping load requirements and maintaining the WIP environment.
• Experience loading trailers as well as product movement into and out of a warehouse environment.
• Willingness to learn and be a part of the team.
• Experience with RF scanning, billing, banders, and unitizers a plus!

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms; safely climb onto and climb off of the lift truck; twist at waist level to look behind them when operating the equipment in reverse; must be able to turn head from side to side; use hands and fingers to operate controls, handle or feel objects, and tools; and talk and hear.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds being able to grasp multiple sheets of corrugated product and propane cylinders, if required
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus, and color vision.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
