Corrugator Plant located in Santa Fe Springs, CA is seeking motivated candidates for full-time Opportunites for Machine Operators and Assistant Operators with technical & mechanical skills, preferably with experience in a Corrugated Paper industry or in a manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Comply with the safety guidelines and safety rules provided by the company as well as exercise common sense and good judgment in performance of duties.
• Assists in the set-up of various components of Flexos & Die Cutter following LOTT requirements.
• Communicating with operator regarding the set-up or identifying machine or order problems
• Feeds machine when necessary.
• Runs the Load Former, following customer unitizing requirements.
• Follows factory master and quality check sheets
• Checks quality of product and separates rejected product for disposal.
• Responsible for keeping machine and work area clean.
• Follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Assists other employees as necessary.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Commitment to work safely & produce quality product
• Prior experience setting-up and operating Flexos and Die Cutters is preferred
• Available to work overtime
• Good understanding of machinery and good mechanical ability/aptitude.
• Skill in operation of various hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to learn, understand and perform to quality standards
• Candidates must be able to read order information and a tape measure to 1/16ths, and perform basic math, including adding and subtracting fractions
• Willingness to learn and be a part of the team
• Ability to work and communicate with co-workers, supervisors, customers and trainees in a courteous, tactful and patient manner.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, twist, bend at waist, grasp and reach with hands and arms, manual dexterity to touch, feel and operate machine controls and hand tools, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 lbs, specific vision abilities required in this position include close vision, ability to adjust focus, and color vision. The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate to loud.
