McKinley Packaging is a world class, sustainable corrugated packaging company in the United States and Mexico. The Company operates with a dynamic and entrepreneurial culture and is one of the leading independent corrugated packaging manufacturers operating today. We are hiring machine operators for our second shifts. Our shifts will be 12-hour shifts (2 shifts per day) working M-T-W or TH-F-S starting on/about July 1, 2022. Each shift will work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours with 4 consecutive days off.

Individuals hired must be available to be trained on one of our current shifts – 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. Starting wage will be $18.50 per hour and after 90 days will be moved to $20+ per hour.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for all duties associated with assisting in running machines including setup, operation, and cleanup
• Minimize waste
• Run efficiently and produce quality products
• Run each order according to Production Master and follow any special instructions at all times
• Maximize the utilization of equipment by operating the machinery at available capacity and speed
• Check quality of produced items
• Assist in the completion of necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner including Production Data, Machine Operational Status, and Quality Data
• Submit any maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs & be proactive in the maintenance of equipment
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and maintaining good housekeeping

Requirements:

• Prior experience working for a Corrugated Manufacturer is preferred but not required
• Experience working in Converting/Finishing machinery is preferred but not required
• Must be able to read order information and a tape measure to 1/16ths
• Ability to read and follow instructions on factory masters required

Physical Requirements:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, pushing, pulling, grasping, fine manipulation and visual acuity for color perception. Ability to communicate with machine operators, supervisors, and managers, verbally and in writing. The incumbent must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
