The role of Logistics Planner will support the execution of McKinley Paper Logistics strategy. This role is full on and fast paced within a team environment, it is a varied and rewarding job with duties ranging from data entry to documenting logistics calls, requiring high attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts job responsibilities with a mindset and culture of Safety First
- Analyzes and Organizes the finished goods warehouse(s)
- Will organize domestic and International shipments to provide high performance levels, monitor deliveries, assist carriers in resolving issues and communicate to appropriate parties, as necessary.
- Responsible for monitoring deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining accurate logs of all transportation and goods
- Sets up and coordinates all shipping and traffic requirements to place product at delivery point in accordance with the terms and conditions of the prevailing sales agreement
- Coordinate with Production Group to maximize JIT shipments
- Special projects as assigned by the Logistics Manager

- Able to access and prioritize business requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of end to end supply chain business processes
- A working knowledge of logistics coordination and order processing

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in logistics, supply chain or a related field preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 5 + years’ experience in Manufacturing/Warehouse/Transportation/Logistics/etc.
- Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Office suite WINDOW, WORD, EXCEL, plus 10-key
Work Conditions:
- Primarily works in an office setting
- May have exposure to outdoor elements when traveling between facilities
- May have exposure to Industrial/manufacturing equipment
- May have exposure to loud noise
- Will be required to rotate for weekend coverage
