McKinley Packaging – Covington, GA

McKinley Packaging, a world-class Corrugated Container manufacturer is seeking experienced Shipping Supervisors or Managers at our facility in the Covington, GA. This is a 24 hour operation and approximately 5.5 days per week with a focus on servicing the customer.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Provide support to Plant Manager and department forklift operators and warehouse personnel so that department requirements are achieved.
• Oversee day to day operations in the Shipping department with the ability to prioritize and assure that deliveries are processed, loaded correctly and delivered in a timely manner to customers with the ability to adapt in an ever changing environment.

Requirements:

• Ability to prioritize and assure that deliveries are processed, loaded correctly and delivered in a timely manner to customers.
• Knowledge and practice of DOT regulations as well as safety and operating procedures.
• Lead, motivate and develop a department that includes hourly personnel and works closely with our contract carrier to ensure timely and complete deliveries to our customers.
• Knowledge of the Southeast.
• Strong communication skills with both internal and external customers, including shift supervisors and at shift hand-off to ensure the delivery schedule is maintained for our carrier and customers.
• Ability to manage and adapt to change swiftly and efficiently.
• Motivated and detail oriented with strong problem solving abilities.
• Knowledge of efficient trailer loading procedures and proper material handling techniques as well as instructional skills.

• Promote high morale within department by showing fairness and consistency in the application of company work and safety program policies
